Demo: Al Mazar Trading

An online store concept for a Sohar trading company selling household and hardware products to both retail customers and small businesses.

Demo projectThis is a demonstration project that shows how we document work. It does not represent a real client engagement and will be replaced by real case studies.

The problem

Orders arrived as photos of products sent over WhatsApp, followed by back-and-forth about prices and stock. Staff retyped each order into the accounting system, and delivery details were often missing or wrong.

What we built

A bilingual store with a categorised catalogue, separate retail and trade pricing behind a business login, a local payment gateway with cash-on-delivery as an option, delivery zones for Sohar and Muscat, and automatic order confirmations on WhatsApp. Orders are exported to the accounting system without retyping.

Results

  • Built to remove manual retyping of orders into the accounting system.
  • Trade customers see their own prices and reorder from previous orders.
  • Target: order confirmation delivered on WhatsApp within a minute of checkout.
  • Delivery details are captured in a structured form, reducing failed deliveries.
